ARTIST BIO:
Ruth Ann Greenberg is an award-winning artist who was born in Baltimore, MD. She received her BA from The Johns Hopkins University in Art History and completed the Foundation Painting Program at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She also studied in artists' workshops with John Howard Sanden, Tom Lynch and Tony Couch. She took painting classes at the Corcoran College of Art as well. Ruth has exhibited in galleries in Washington, DC; Baltimore, MD; Bethesda, MD and Gloucester, VA. She won a Winsor and Newton award for a painting displayed at Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, MD in 1996 as well as winning other awards for her paintings in various juried shows. Ruth was profiled in an article in the American Artist Special Studio Issue, Studios 2010 and will be featured in an upcoming book on artists and their studios in 2014. She currently resides in Bethesda, MD where she maintains a studio and paints outdoors. Ruth's work is in various collections including the Montgomery County Government, Nova Research Corp., Mortgage Solutions and Kenwood Country Club.
